Front Seat

To make comfort a real thing, the driver’s seat has 10-way power adjustments with lumbar support (Titanium trim) for comfort during long UAE commutes. Leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats (Titanium), and a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel with paddle shifters are all nicely located, easy to handle and give the driver much-needed engagement. The seats, in essence, have that ability to provide great cushioning and ensure you get a lot of reduction in fatigue when you’re set to drive for longer hours.

Electronic Parking Brake

The electronic parking brake (EPB) has now become a standard across most modern cars, which is a great move, as it not only replaces the traditional handbrake but also frees up cabin space and simplifies operation in stop-and-go traffic. Rear Seat

Another standalone strength of the Territory is that the rear bench seat offers where Ford wants to make the passenger utmost comfortable with quite a lot of legroom and headroom for three adults. With the high 2,726 mm wheelbase, it makes a lot of difference in keeping the cabin large enough. The Rear AC vents and USB charging ports (Titanium) ensure passenger comfort in the UAE’s intense heat. Storage Options

But the good things, like always, you can expand by folding the seats, which could go up to 1,422 litres, fine for occasional needs of extra space. From the outside, the Territory has always been noteworthy, grabbing attention with its distinctive, rugged design and imposing road presence. It measures 4,630 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,706 mm in height, with a 2,726 mm wheelbase, and with excellent 190 mm ground clearance, it takes on all our city roads and also some soft off-road across diverse terrains in the UAE. Similarly, the exterior is defined by its sharp aerodynamic shape, boosting fuel efficiency, while the bold styling inspires high confidence.

Front

The front is largely attributed to the all-new, newly designed grille with active shutters for superior aerodynamics and better cooling. Side

The Territory comes with 18-inch alloy wheels (235/55R18 tires) on the Ambiente and Trend trims, while the Titanium and Dark Edition feature 19-inch alloys (235/50R19). These multi-spoke wheels not only help in fuel efficiency, but look extremely durable, and make handling and grip a lot better, no matter whether you’re commuting through the city or cruising the highway.  Not just that but you can’t help but notice that the larger wheels on higher trims not just add to a sporty flair but may result in a slightly firmer ride.

Rear

Another clear highlight of the Territory is the not-so-ordinary rear, as it has a new design, making it more sporty and modern. You get a full-width LED light bar, 3D-design LED taillights, and a faux rear diffuser for a sharp touch. A large roof spoiler and rear fog lamps take care of safety in adverse weather, while the hands-free power liftgate undoubtedly adds to the convenience while loading and unloading big suitcases or bulk cargo.

Colors

City Performance

The Territory’s 1.8L EcoBoost engine is a blessing, especially if you choose to drive more inside the city than otherwise. We found the engine has smooth, quite refined power for navigating everyday, mundane but slightly touchy traffic. The 7-speed automatic transmission is another beauty, seamless gear shifts to say the least. Then the 5.5-meter turning radius certainly makes it a point that your parking in tight spaces is as effortless as it can be. Everything triumphs with the high fuel efficiency of the car, which is most likely a big factor in deciding to buy this SUV.

Highway Performance

On UAE highways, the Territory isn’t bad either, so if you choose to buy the SUV for either daily commute or intercity travel, mostly for highway, it does the job remarkably. On the highway, we got stable cruising and sufficient power for overtaking, and the performance has been nothing but impressive. This is in context to high speed, no issues, if you race a little bit for that occasional fun on the free highway stretches. The EcoBoost engine and drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) are a great way to balance efficiency and performance, while the acoustic hood reduces cabin noise for a refined experience.

Ride and Handling

Overally, the SUV is fine-tuned in such a way that the ride and handling experience stays quite elevated. No small wriggles, noises or bumps, largely due to the MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension, do their job in providing a balanced ride, absorbing road imperfections effectively. The accurate steering and low centre of gravity are some elements that make driving confident, with better handling in city traffic and also on the highway curves well. The front-wheel-drive layout and 190 mm ground clearance offer decent grip on paved roads and light gravel paths, but think of this SUV as an off-roader; but it is not, however, you can certainly take some liberty of enjoying that, on certain times and stretches

The Ford Territory 2026 is available in four variants in the UAE:

• Ambiente – AED 113,295: as one might expect, this base model comes with a slightly scaled-down version when it comes to features. But still, there are some good ones like with LED headlights, 18-inch alloys, and standard safety features like ABS, airbags, and rear parking sensors. A perfect choice for anyone who is on a tight budget but also can’t compromise reliability and style.
• Trend – AED 115,395: Not much more expensive than the Ambiente, and also that extra cash brings you some additions like partial leather trim, a 12-inch touchscreen, and advanced driver aids like lane-keeping assist.
• Titanium – AED 135,345: In this variant, with some reasonable bump in price, you get that extra feature at that extra price. This includes the higher 19-inch alloys, leather upholstery, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and a full suite of driver-assist tech. Perfect for families and professionals seeking luxury, and don’t mind spending that extra money. 

Zigwheels Recommends: The Titanium variant is our recommendation for not-so-difficult reasons. It is quite visible the kind of value you’re getting for your extra money. Is it worth spending that much? The answer, certainly, is yes, of course, if you can. Because then you get an excellent balance of premium features, advanced safety tech. What you’re essentially getting is all the luxury and technology, and so overall the deal works in your favour of bringing the fully-loaded variants at home.

In a nutshell, it is fair to say, the 2026 Territory has received some great changes, and rather much needed, for it to compete better in this highly competitive segment. Ford has recognised that, and after two years of its first arrival, and given this promising SUV a facelift, which now puts it right in front of its competitors. If you’re in the market looking for a compelling compact SUV that combines bold styling, a tech-rich interior, efficient performance, and also spacious cabin, advanced driver-assist features, and versatile boot space, then the Territory is for you.
